Toila School's gymnasium has closed. Parents are sad. They say it is the last Estonian-language gymnasium in Ida-Virumaa.
The judge says that Kohtla-Järve gymnasium is good. There are many students with Estonian as their language of instruction.

At Kohtla-Järve gymnasium, 23 students took the Estonian language exam. In Sillamäe and Jõhvi, there were fewer. The judge says there are more students with Estonian as their language of instruction.
Toila students receive an education. Kohtla-Järve gymnasium does not ask about the students' home language. Many students with Estonian as their language of instruction come from Russian-speaking families.
The former Minister of Education wrote in support of Toila School. He said that exceptions could be made in Ida-Virumaa. The Ministry of Education says the state does not require the closure of the gymnasium.
25 parents have filed a complaint with the court. They do not yet know if they will complain further. They have time until May 30. The court did not find that Toila municipality's decision violates rights.
