Russian TV channels speak against Ukraine and the West. They have false ideas. Some people watch them in Estonia.
Russian channels are easy to watch. Near the border, an antenna is enough. You can find shows on YouTube. New TVs require downloading an app.
Estonia restricted Russian channels. Elisa and Telia are no longer allowed to show them. However, people can still find ways to watch them.
The Government Office says that the influence of Russian channels is smaller. In 2022, a third of people watched them. Now it is 10%.
The Consumer Protection Authority gains more rights. The Ministry of Culture says it is difficult to completely ban Russian channels.
