The road at Hipodroomi intersection will be closed from May 5th to May 29th. Traffic will be reversed, which will take more time.
Joel Jesse says the city is improving traffic. "Hipodroomi intersection is important. Traffic will be disrupted during construction. There will be assistants in the first few days," Jesse said.
The new traffic arrangement begins on May 5th at 10 AM. Assistants will be available on May 5th, 6th, and 7th.
The city recommends those coming from Keila to take an alternative route. Taking the train is recommended. Those coming from Tabasalu and Harku can drive through Mustamäe.
The intersection will be open, but traffic will change. Starting from June 1st, the outgoing direction of Paldiski maantee will be closed. Public transport will change in June. New schedules are available on the website transport.tallinn.ee.
The work began in spring. The construction aims to create a new residential area and a safer road. Bicycle paths, green islands, and lighting will be installed. The alley will be preserved. A new turn from Hipodroomi street will be created.
Tallinna Vesi and Utilitas Tallinna Soojus are also carrying out work. The project cost is 11.6 million euros.
