575 basic school graduates have not yet found a new school.
The situation in Tallinn is difficult. High schools are full. There are no additional spaces or teachers.
Tallinn schools cannot accept more students. New places will only be created after September 10.
Nearly 27% of students in Tallinn high schools do not live in the city. They come from neighboring municipalities.
If there are no places in high schools, one can go to vocational school. For example, to Tallinn Applied College or Techno Tallinn.
There are preparatory classes for weaker students. These also filled up during the summer. Perhaps more will be created.
Schools must find solutions by November 1. Currently, young people are being talked to in order to understand their problems.
Many young people are sad that they cannot start school. But starting a few days later is also possible.
