There are many alcohol problems in Tallinn. People drink on the streets. This is bad, says mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski.
Ossinovski says: "Simple alcohol is bad. Some people drink too much. They drink right in front of the store. This is a big problem."
There is help for alcohol in Estonia. But there are few places.
The mayor does not want to remove benches. He says: "People move on. The benches are for others too."
Alcohol stores are everywhere. The city wants the state to change the rules. Currently, any store can sell alcohol.
Ossinovski says: "Why remove the benches? It is better to remove the alcohol stores."
The city monitors bad places. There are especially problems in the Old Town.
Some people are afraid of young people in Tammsaare park. Ossinovski says: "Young people move on. Light and cameras help."
