When departing from Sillamäe, the ship's cargo was shale oil. The destination was Rotterdam. Green Admire is owned by the Greek company Aegean Shipping.
The transport authority monitors daily ship traffic in Estonian waters. Ships move from the port of Sillamäe through Russian territorial waters. This route is safer for large ships than other routes.
