Saarde municipality and the Minister of the Environment have reached an agreement.
They will not restore forests in the Kikepera Nature Reserve before the end of the study.
Floods are more frequent there. For example, the Reiu River rose twice in the last half year.
The Ministry of the Environment has ordered an expert assessment.
The study will examine changes in the Reiu River and the wetland.
The study will be completed in the autumn.
The deputy chairman of the Saarde municipal council said that work will not start before the end of the study. The study should be completed by mid-September.
A representative of RMK said that work will begin after the end of the study.
In the Kikepera Nature Reserve, bog forests will be restored on 3100 hectares.
