TLT Violated Its Own Rules in Eesti 200 Campaign on Tram

(TLT) juhatus arutas esmaspäeval, kuidas Eesti 200 sai korraldada pressiürituse trammis.
TLT reeglite järgi ei tohi nende territooriumil, lõppjaamades ega sõidukites teha . Need reeglid tehti mai kuus, viis kuud enne kohalikke valimisi.
Kolme kuu pärast, 31. augustil, toimus aga Eesti 200 pressiüritus Linnahalli trammipeatuses. Erakond tutvustas seal oma i ja programmi enne oktoobri valimisi.
Kell 13 läks tramm teele, mis viis osalejad tunnisele sõidule läbi Tallinna. Trammis olid Eesti 200 ga.
TLT Kaido Padar nägi üritust ajakirjanduses. Ta ütles, et juhatus tunnistas koosolekul, et see oli viga. "Me rikkusime oma reegleid," ütles Padar.
Eesti 200 liige Daniel Kõiv ütles, et erakond ei teadnud TLT reeglitest. Nad ei teadnud, et poliitilist reklaami ei tohi teha.
The board of Tallinn City Transport Ltd (TLT) discussed on Monday how Eesti 200 was able to organize a press event on a tram.
According to TLT's rules, political events are not allowed on their premises, at terminal stations, or in vehicles. These rules were made in May, five months before the local elections.
Three months later, on August 31, Eesti 200's press event took place at the Linnahall tram stop. The party introduced its mayoral candidate and program there ahead of the October elections.
At 1 PM, the tram departed, taking participants on an hour-long ride through Tallinn. The tram had Eesti 200 advertisements and a large banner with the party's logo.
TLT board chairman Kaido Padar saw the event in the media. He said that the board acknowledged at the meeting that it was a mistake. "We broke our own rules," Padar said.
Eesti 200 member Daniel Kõiv said that the party was not aware of TLT's rules. They did not know that political advertising was not allowed.
