A major fire broke out at a South Korean factory. Five people died, and two were injured.
The fire occurred at Hanwha Aerospace's factory. It is a major defense industry company. The factory produces rocket components and engines.
Two people managed to escape the factory on their own. One of them suffered severe burns. Identifying the victims is difficult because their bodies are severely damaged.
At the start of the fire, there was an explosion. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation. Firefighters did not have access to the factory's layout because it is classified.
The President of South Korea stated that everyone must assist in the investigation of the accident. Hanwha Aerospace says they are investigating what happened.
Estonia purchased rocket launchers from this company. The first equipment will arrive in Estonia next year. Estonia bought six rocket launchers and various rockets. The rockets will be modified for use in Estonia.
In May, Estonia purchased three more rocket launchers. In total, these will cost Estonia nearly 290 million euros.
