The Riigikogu decided on September 13, 2021, that the extension of the Estonia National Opera must be prepared. Now this work is in a new phase. An official procurement committee was formed.
The committee's task is to evaluate the spatial program. The spatial program was created by a working group of specialists. The committee must assess whether the program is good. Changes will be made if necessary. The committee also approves the public procurement documents.
The goal of the public procurement is to be completed by June 30, 2026. The procurement will help create the spatial program for the architectural competition for the extension of the National Opera. This program will be the basis for the competition.
