Saturday was a special day in Peipsiääre municipality. Approximately 30 yards sold old items. People brought furniture, clothes, and other goods for sale.
Meelis said: "I have an old wallet. It's about 80-90 years old. I don't use it, but maybe someone else wants it."
There were also old fishing nets and other Old Believer items for sale. Jevgeni said: "These fishing nets are handmade. My great-grandfather made them. The fishermen were Old Believers."
Some came looking for specific items. Others simply bought if something caught their eye. Imre said: "I found a beautiful painting. I liked it immediately."
Marika said: "We bought books. From the same place, we also want to buy an old stove."
Kairi Güsson, the head of Peipsimaa Heritage Center, said: "People are beginning to appreciate old items more. The yard sale day is a good new tradition on Sibulatee."
