Eesti ametnikud uurivad Vene varilaevastiku laeva. Teatud puudused on juba leitud.
Estonian officials are inspecting a Russian auxiliary fleet ship. Certain deficiencies have already been found.
Estonia detained the Russian vessel Kiwala overnight in the Gulf of Finland. The ship is anchored near Viimsi. The vessel and its crew are being inspected.
Border Guard Chief Veiko Kommusaar said that certain deficiencies have already been found on the ship. The exact list of deficiencies and their rectification are still being clarified.
Kommusaar said that the Police and Border Guard Board (PPA) is accustomed to such operations. The operation was challenging but a routine task.
Kommusaar added that Estonia could have better equipment. For example, a helicopter is needed to allow teams to work simultaneously.
He also said that it would be useful to have a nearby vessel to bring teams on board more quickly.
