Narva Mayor Jaan Toots terminated the employment contract with Tatjana Stolfat, who was the head of the Narva Social Work Center. Stolfat is accused of problems with money and property. The city inspected the center's activities and found serious violations.
Mayor Toots said that the decision was not political but based on problems revealed during the inspection. The inspection found that cars and employment relationships were not managed properly. Toots noted that possible damage to the city should also be discussed.
In addition, there were problems with maintaining the order of the nursing home. Queue data was not kept in an official register but in a notebook. This makes it impossible to control the process.
Currently, more details cannot be disclosed, as they may indicate violations of the penal code. The city will file a criminal report regarding the incident.
Stolfat said that this is retaliation by the Center Party. She plans to go to court to restore her reputation.
The current city government stated that they do not simply inspect anyone. If complaints arise, they will be addressed.
Stolfat's employment contract was terminated on Thursday. From Friday, the center will be temporarily led by deputy director Yulia Khoreva. A new head will be selected through a public competition.
