A person buys a product from a store. The packaging says the product is green. This must be true.
Merchants support the new regulations. Buyers don't always know what is true. But what to do with old products? Merchants want to sell old products.
New products must comply with the new regulations. Manufacturers must prove that the product is green. This may be expensive. The price of the product may rise.
If no solution is found, some goods will go to the dump. No one knows exactly what rules apply yet.
Merchants and authorities don't know everything yet. Small manufacturers find it hard to follow the rules. But they must do it.
A simple solution would be to write on the packaging that the product is not green. But merchants can't do that. This may cause prices to rise.
