Peeter Raudsepp (Isamaa) became the mayor of Tallinn on Monday. He mentioned that he had studied at the University of Tartu alongside Parvel Pruunsild. However, he has not had any joint businesses or investments with Pruunsild.
Jevgeni Ossinovski (Social Democrats) asked Raudsepp if he had any business connections with Pruunsild in the 1990s. Ossinovski stated that journalists are talking about it and gave Raudsepp the opportunity to respond.
Raudsepp replied that he indeed studied with Pruunsild. He explained that this field of study has helped many people become ministers and business leaders. However, he never had any business dealings with Pruunsild. Never.
Maris Sild (Social Democrats) asked Raudsepp about his thoughts on Kris Kärner's words. Kärner, a member of Isamaa, has said that Social Democrats should be put against the wall. Sild asked if this aligns with Isamaa’s values.
Raudsepp responded that he is not aware of the activities in Tartu. He said he does not know exactly what Kärner said. However, he promised that if someone is put against the wall, he would help and protect that person.
