Court postponed the start of the bear hunting season by a month

Karujahi hooaeg pidi algama 1. augustil. Aga MTÜ Eesti Suurkiskjad ei olnud nõus ega. Seetõttu lükkas kohus jahi alguse 29. augustini.
Tallinna haldus , et karujahi tuleb ajutiselt peatada. Kohus leidis, et see on vajalik ks. Karude küttimine on keelatud kuni 29. augustini.
MTÜ Eesti Suurkiskjad ütlesid, et ei vasta Euroopa Liidu reeglitele. Kohus arvas, et nende kaebus on tõsiselt võetav. Seetõttu otsustati jahi peatada, et oodata lõplikku otsust.
Keskkonnaamet ütles, et 71 karu küttimine on õige. Karude arv on kasvanud ja see on hea looduse jaoks. Aga karude kasv toob ka probleeme.
Karud ja sööda. Nad käivud ka küladesse lähemal. Seetõttu on vaja u kontrollida. See aitab .
MTÜ Eesti Suurkiskjad on varem ka vaidlustanud hundi- ja karujahilube. Nende eesmärk on kaitsta suurkiskjaid.
The bear hunting season was supposed to start on August 1. However, MTÜ Eesti Suurkiskjad disagreed with the decision of the Environmental Board. Therefore, the court postponed the start of the hunt to August 29.
The Tallinn Administrative Court decided that the bear hunt must be temporarily suspended. The court found that this is necessary to protect bears. Hunting bears is prohibited until August 29.
MTÜ Eesti Suurkiskjad said that the decision of the Environmental Board does not comply with EU rules. The court considered their complaint to be serious. Therefore, it was decided to suspend the hunt to await a final decision.
The Environmental Board said that hunting 71 bears is justified. The number of bears has increased, and this is good for nature. However, the growth of bears also brings problems.
Bears destroy beehives and feed. They also come closer to villages. Therefore, it is necessary to control the number of bears. This helps avoid conflicts between humans and bears.
MTÜ Eesti Suurkiskjad have previously challenged wolf and bear hunting permits. Their goal is to protect large predators.
