ERR-i nõukogu esimees Rein Veidemann ütles, et on oluline arutada .
Nõukogus on 10 liiget, kuid Vadim Belobrovtsev (Keskerakond) ei osalenud, sest ta on Kasahstanis .
EKRE esitas riigikogus , mis soovib ERR-i sulgeda. See tuli pärast ETV saadet „Hommik Anuga“, kus räägiti kahest isast koosnevast perest.

Veidemanni sõnad said kriitikat Kristen Michalilt, haridusminister Kristina Kallaselt ja välisminister Margus Tsahknalt. Tsahkna ütles, et Veidemann peaks tagasi astuma.
Kultuuriminister Heidy Purga leidis, et Veidemann sekkus .
Keskerakonna esimees Mihhail Kõlvart toetas Veidemannit ja ütles, et tal on õigus mõttevabadusele.
Esmaspäeval kohtusid ERR-i töötajad juhatusega. ETV peatoimetaja Urmas Oru ütles, et ja juhatus toetab .
Rein Veidemann on olnud ERR-i nõukogu esimees alates 7. maist 2017.

The council has 10 members, but Vadim Belobrovtsev (Centre Party) did not participate as he is on a state visit to Kazakhstan.
EKRE submitted a proposal in the Riigikogu to close ERR. This came after the ETV show „Hommik Anuga,“ which discussed a family with two fathers.
The chairman of the ERR board, Erik Roose, said that EKRE's proposal is ridiculous and a threat to freedom of speech.
Rein Veidemann told Postimees that the segment shown in the program does not align with the values of the majority of Estonians. He emphasized that he was speaking personally, not as the chairman of the council.
Veidemann's words were criticized by Prime Minister Kristen Michal, Education Minister Kristina Kallas, and Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna. Tsahkna said that Veidemann should resign.
Culture Minister Heidy Purga found that Veidemann interfered with editorial freedom.
The chairman of the Centre Party, Mihhail Kõlvart, supported Veidemann and said that he has the right to freedom of thought.
On Monday, ERR employees met with the board. ETV's chief editor, Urmas Oru, said that the meeting was constructive and that the board supports program diversity.
Rein Veidemann has been the chairman of the ERR Council since May 7, 2017.
