Pirita Promenade is in Tallinn. It was built in the 1980s. Currently, the concrete of the promenade is broken. The city government knows that it needs to be repaired. But the renovation work is expensive and lengthy.
Sander Andla is the district elder of Tallinn Center. He said that the promenade needs a major renovation. It is a multi-million euro project. Andla does not know when the work will begin.
When the work is finally done, it will be done gradually. Funding issues will be discussed in the autumn. Then Tallinn will make budget plans.
In 2016, it was reported that Pirita Promenade was deteriorating. City official Reio Vesiallik said that the condition of the promenade was being assessed. Minor repairs were made. But the entire promenade needs a major renovation. It is about 2 kilometers long. It is included in future investment plans.
