The Right-Wingers did not agree to Isamaa's proposal to form a coalition in Rakvere. They said that Isamaa does not show a genuine desire to work together for the good of the city.
Siim Tuus, the leader of the Right-Wingers in Rakvere, said that Isamaa's motives were formal, not substantive. He added that Isamaa does not truly want to cooperate.
Tuus also said that Isamaa's concern is the presence of council members, not city governance. The Right-Wingers do not want to join a coalition where their task is to help others rest.
Additionally, Tuus said that Isamaa does not provide assurance that the Right-Wingers could implement their policies. Other parties in the Rakvere city council include EKRE, SDE, Reform Party, and the Center Party.
Isamaa has been in power in Rakvere since 1993. After the 2021 elections, they formed a coalition with the Center Party. Later, Center Party politicians joined Isamaa.
