Tartu Circuit Court Found Küllike Namm Guilty
Tartu ringkonnakohus tühistas Viru maakohtu otsuse ja mõistis Küllike Nammi süüdi. Talle määrati rahaline karistus.
The Tartu Circuit Court overturned the decision of the Viru County Court and found Küllike Namm guilty. She was fined.
The Tartu Circuit Court decided on Friday that Küllike Namm received a large fine. She must pay 13,485 euros. The court found that Namm violated the law. She could not simultaneously be a representative of a company.
Namm was a representative of Vihula Parish. She was supposed to help manage the affairs of the parish. The court found that she misused her authority. She assisted the company MTÜ Käsmu Majaka Sadam.
The Viru County Court had previously acquitted Namm. However, the Tartu court changed this decision. Now Namm must start paying the fine.
According to the court, Namm did work that should have been done by a parish employee. The court found that Namm used her knowledge for the benefit of the company. This was against the law.
The decision is not yet final. Namm can still appeal the decision.
