Next week, Priit Reiska will assume the position of rector at Tallinn University.
Priit Reiska currently heads the Institute of Natural and Health Sciences. He will become the new rector on May 15th.
The rectorate includes three prorectors. None of them have a background in natural sciences.
The Science Prorector oversees the university's research activities. Tiina Pajuste will become the Science Prorector. Tiina Pajuste currently heads the Institute of Social Sciences.
The Teaching Prorector manages educational activities and further training. Helen Joost will become the Teaching Prorector. Helen Joost currently heads the Teaching Department.
The Academic Prorector supports academic staff. Uku Lember will become the Academic Prorector. Uku Lember currently heads the Institute of Humanities.
The Chancellor manages finances and legal advisory services. Kristi Vinter will continue as Chancellor.
Priit Reiska currently heads the Institute of Natural and Health Sciences. He is a professor of physics didactics. He graduated from Tallinn Pedagogical University with a degree in physics. He earned his PhD from Kiel University in 1999.
