Lavly Perling said that elections will take place in March, half a year later. She said one should not be deceived by the opposition's talk about early elections. Perling instead recommends blocking next year's state budget.
Perling emphasized that the first task of the opposition is to prevent the minority government from making irresponsible state budgets. She said if the opposition fails at this, they have failed completely.
Perling said the opposition has tools to guide the minority government. She warned against believing Isamaa's lie that Reform Party's activities can only be stopped by early elections.
Perling explained that the Riigikogu can leave the minority government's budget unapproved. She said this would improve the state budget situation. If the opposition doesn't work towards this goal, they share responsibility with Reform Party for future generational debts.
Perling said Urmas Reinsalu and Mihhail Kõlvart are already thinking about elections. She said behind them lies fear of EKRE's idea to dismiss the prime minister.
Perling noted that Reinsalu and Kõlvart fear they will have to bear government responsibility before the March elections. She said this destroys Isamaa and Keskerakond's myth that the budget can be balanced while increasing benefits and avoiding reforms.
Perling said early elections are not a realistic goal. She said even Reinsalu and Kõlvart know this. Politicians from Isamaa and Keskerakond don't want to finish their work in parliament prematurely.
