Overnight stays increased by 5% compared to the previous year. In total, tourists stayed overnight 3.04 million times.
Foreign tourists stayed overnight over 1.72 million times. Domestic tourists stayed overnight over 1.32 million times.
Compared to 2019, there are 1% more tourists. Estonian residents stayed overnight 18% more, while foreign visitors stayed 9% less.
78% of foreign tourists came for vacation. 18% came for work. Among domestic tourists, 70% were on vacation and 21% were working.
Most foreign tourists came from Finland (34%), Latvia (15%), and Germany (6%). Fewer tourists came from Finland than the previous year. Slightly more came from Latvia and Germany.
Many tourists came from Lithuania and the UK. Tourists from Asia, the USA, Poland, and Sweden numbered over 24,000.
78% of foreign tourists came from EU countries. This is 3% more than the previous year.
54% of tourists visited Harju County. 51% visited Tallinn. 11% visited Pärnu and 8% visited Tartu.
74% of foreign tourists visited Harju County. 11% visited Pärnu County and 7% visited Tartu County.
