She represents the Commission in meetings and leads discussions during Estonia’s EU presidency. Since 2020, she has been an economic advisor. Last year, she also served as acting head.
She emphasizes that the EU is crucial for economy and security. Estonia must maintain close ties with the EU, and she wants Estonia’s voice to be strong in EU decisions.
The Commission’s office communicates with the government, various groups, and the public. It informs the media and the public about EU policies. The head is appointed by the Commission president and represents the president in Estonia.
Ave studied economics in Tartu and Denmark. The previous head, Vivian Loonela, now works in EU foreign policy.
