Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that the opening of the embassy is important. It will take the relations to a new level. Estonia is interested in Israel's experiences in civil defense and innovation.
The foreign ministers also discussed Russia's war in Ukraine. Tsahkna said that Estonia and Israel share similar security concerns. He called on democratic countries to help Ukraine.
Tsahkna also spoke about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He said that aid must reach civilians quickly. Estonia supports a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine.
