Currently, State Prosecutor General Astrid Asi is analyzing the information gathered during the pre-trial proceedings.
Prosecutor's Office spokesperson Allan Rajavee told ERR: "The proceedings in question are still in the pre-trial phase. If we decide to file charges, the Prosecutor General must apply to the Chancellor of Justice for the removal of parliamentary immunity. We have not done this yet."
Rajavee added: "It cannot be said that the proceedings are not moving forward. Work has been done in the pre-trial proceedings. Currently, there is no new information to share with the public."
Over the past year, various prosecutors have evaluated the evidence gathered during the pre-trial proceedings. Now, the Prosecutor General is analyzing the collected information and deciding whether to submit an application to the Chancellor of Justice.
