Ivo Visak was elected as the executive director of TI-hüpe from among 75 candidates. TI-hüpe is an education program that develops the use of artificial intelligence in schools. Visak will take office on June 1.
Kristi Vinter-Nemvalts, the chairwoman of the foundation's council, spoke about Visak's selection. She said that Visak is interested in artificial intelligence and its ethics. Visak believes in the power of educational changes.
Visak said that he was concerned about artificial intelligence. The goal of TI-hüpe is to teach students to think, not to use artificial intelligence.
In his new position, Visak is responsible for the program's strategy. He must create new partnerships and represent the foundation.
The biggest challenge is adding the program to schools' activity plans. TI-hüpe is inspired by Tiigrihüpe. This program provides students and teachers with access to artificial intelligence learning applications.
In the first phase of the program, 20,000 students and 4,700 teachers will gain access. The TI-hüpe foundation was established on April 4. Its council includes important people from the education and private sectors.
