A new train runs from Tallinn to Riga. It goes through Tartu. Sometimes, many people use it.
Half of the people go between Tartu and Riga. Many also go to Vilnius. More trains will run on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Trains will also return with changes. More stats are coming for Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Soon, work begins on the Tartu-Valga railway. Trains can go up to 160 km/h there. Main work is planned for 2025-2026.
Test rides are successful, but start date is not known. Many go to Vilnius.
Lux Express buses have fewer riders now. They drop some trips from autumn.
Lux Express serves 20,000 riders weekly on two lines. Peak time has 25,000. Yearly, about 850,000 people use these lines. Tallinn-Riga line has 170,000–180,000 yearly.
Lux Express thinks tickets should fund operations. They have not changed their prices.
