According to an April survey, 84% of Russian-speaking women support the Center Party. This is a very high result. For example, if you ask 10 Russian women, 9 of them would say they support the Center Party.
The survey was conducted by Emori. Journalists Indrek Kiisler and Anvar Samost discussed the results. Samost said this is an incredible number. The popularity of the Center Party is explained by Anastassia Kovaleno-Kõlvart, a well-known politician.
The votes of Russian men are divided among different parties. For example, some support EKRE. Women with higher education prefer the Social Democrats (SDE). This party is supported by 24% of families with higher incomes.
EKRE's support has declined. According to Voog, the reason lies in the changing preferences of men. EKRE voters are mainly older men. Recent events have influenced their choices.
Kiisler noted that associating EKRE with Hungary's Viktor Orbán does not appeal to Estonian voters. Voog suggested that EKRE's decline might be temporary. He said EKRE's reactions to Orbán's defeat were too strong.
