On April 14, 2023, a Twitter user posted a diagram. The diagram listed the names of Isamaa's largest donors. The largest donation was from Parvel Pruunsild, who donated 500,000 euros. On the same day, Erik Moora wrote a comment: "Estonia's biggest political corruption". He also answered the question of what the corruption consisted of. Moora said, "it also comes with benefits".
On July 11, Pruunsild filed a lawsuit against Moora in Harju County Court. Pruunsild wanted Moora to retract false information. He also wanted compensation for damages. On Thursday, the court decided to leave the lawsuit unfulfilled. The court ordered Pruunsild to pay Moora's legal costs of 5,833 euros and 80 cents.
Pruunsild claimed that Moora's comment attributed Estonia's biggest corrupt acts to him. Pruunsild said this was false. He also claimed that Moora's statement about his financial support for Isamaa was false. Pruunsild said it damaged his reputation. Moora told the court that he did not claim that Pruunsild supports Isamaa to gain benefits. Moora said that a benefit does not only mean money or corruption.
The court found that Moora did not claim that Pruunsild committed an act of corruption. The court said that Moora's comment was general. The court found that Pruunsild has access to Isamaa's leaders. The court said this could be considered a benefit. The court found that Pruunsild did not demand anything from Isamaa in return for donations.
The court left the lawsuit unfulfilled. The decision can be appealed within 30 days.
