The Rescue Board says there are many volunteer rescuers.
They help people. They do three things: rescue, maintain safety, protect people.
Margus says there are over 100 volunteer groups in Estonia. There are over 3000 of them. They do various jobs.
Volunteers and officials work together. Some volunteers have more training. An ordinary volunteer must study. Then they can start working.
Every year new volunteers come. Many do this work alongside their main job. They help when needed.
During a crisis, volunteers are important. Officials may not be enough. Volunteers open aid points. They receive people. They help those who have to leave their homes. Volunteers are very important.
