Pärtel-Peeter Pere left the Reform Party on Friday. He joined the party five years ago. Now he wrote a letter to his former party colleagues. In the letter, he criticized Prime Minister Kristen Michal. Pere said that Michal cannot make decisions and controls too much.
Pere wrote: "I want to take responsibility for my actions. My mistake was supporting Michal's plans. I don't understand Michal's indecisiveness and excessive control. I don't believe in such leadership." Pere added that he will not join a new party.
Pere hopes that party members will not spread rumors. He does not want to speak publicly or give interviews. He said: "If the letter leaks, look for the leaker among yourselves." Pere did not comment to ERR.
According to the business registry, Pere joined the Reform Party on March 13, 2021. He left on March 13, 2026. On January 13, 2024, he was elected chairman of the Tallinn district.
