The heavy rain also affected neighboring municipalities. Last night, rescuers gathered and together with the mayor of Tori inspected critical areas. First they helped people, later they assessed the situation in neighboring municipalities and shared experiences, said deputy mayor Sander Kilk.
The water level in Pärnu has dropped, but water is still coming from the Rääma bog. Rescue teams are pumping water and the city's system is coping. Rescuers will decide when to stop pumping.

There are temporary changes in traffic arrangements. Drivers must be careful and follow traffic signs. Avoid flooded areas if possible. Roads will be reopened to traffic as soon as possible.
Kilk said that during the crisis, cooperation between various authorities and volunteers was crucial. “Thank you to all partners. Several rescue brigades and experts came to Pärnu to share their knowledge and data. I thank all rescuers, volunteers and helpers across Estonia. Thanks to you, the situation is now under control and people received help,” Kilk said.
