The Riigikogu session begins at 3 PM. Several important topics will be discussed. One of them is a proposal from the Social Democratic Party. They want to amend the Early Childhood Education Act. This bill aims to make kindergarten places free for all children. Currently, parents have to pay for it.
Another topic is the change in family benefits. The Social Democratic Party wants to modify the rules regarding parental benefits. If a child is born within three years of the previous child's birth, the amount of parental benefit will not decrease. It also takes into account changes in wages.
After the discussion of the bills, the Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, Liisa Pakosta, will answer questions. The questions relate to Slava Ukraini, equality, and social media restrictions. There will also be a discussion on the transparency of consumer cooperatives and the prevention of abuses.
