Rahandusministeerium andis teada avaliku teenistuse palgakasvu kohta. Kõrgeim palk on riigikohtu esimehel ja Tallinna linnapeal.

The Ministry of Finance announced the salary increase in the public service. The highest salary is for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Mayor of Tallinn.

Rahandusministeerium ütleb, et viimastel aastatel vähe. Kogu palgakasv oli 4%. Ametnike palgad kasvasid 3,7%. See on vähem kui eelmistel aastatel ja vähem kui erasektoris.

Avalikus teenistuses töötas 2024. aastal 28 456 inimest. Neist 22 784 töötas riigiasutustes ja 5672 omavalitsustes. Ametnikest on 83% kõrgharidusega. Kõrgem haridus tõstab keskmist palka.

Ametnike palgad on erinevad. 30% ametnikest saab alla 2000 euro. 62% saab alla 2500 euro. Üle 4000 euro saab 7% ametnikest. Kõrgeim palk on riigikohtu esimehel Villu Kõvel – 9724 eurot. Talle järgneb Tallinna ringkonnakohtu esimees ja peaminister.

Kõik ametnikud ei saa sama palju. Politsei, piirivalve ja kaitseväe ametnikud saavad vähem. Kuid nende arv kasvas viimasel aastal. Politsei ja piirivalve teenistusse tuli 55 uut inimest. Kaitseväele lisandus 138 inimest.
