In a joint statement, the three parties – the Social Democrats, Isamaa, and Eesti 200 – say that the Reform Party has violated coalition agreements. However, they wish to continue cooperation and discuss important topics.
The parties said that the Reform Party has made decisions that violate agreements. For example, they have initiated the abolition of kindergarten fees and halted draft legislation. This has damaged trust between the parties.
However, the parties wish to continue cooperation. They are ready to discuss topics if everyone adheres to the agreements. They invite the Reform Party to the table to find solutions.
The parties believe that if cooperation fails, the Center Party may return to power. The Center Party has previously been convicted of corruption.
Isamaa representative Riina Solman said that the main problem is kindergarten fees. She hopes that the Reform Party will not play politics and that cooperation will continue. Solman believes that all problems can be resolved through discussion.
Solman does not wish to discuss changing individuals. She said that if cooperation fails, the Reform Party is to blame, as it made agreements with the opposition party.
Last week, the Tallinn City Council discussed the 2025 supplementary budget for the first time. The Center Party and the Reform Party submitted amendment proposals regarding kindergarten fees, which sparked criticism.
