Kutsehariduse õppemaks võib olla aastas kuni 5100 eurot
Vocational education tuition can be up to 5100 euros per year
Haridusministeerium määras tasulise kutsehariduse õppemaksu. Ühe ainepunkti hind jääb 35 ja 85 euro vahele, sõltuvalt erialast ja koolikuludest.
The Ministry of Education has set tuition fees for vocational education. The cost per credit point ranges from 35 to 85 euros, depending on the field and school expenses.
Starting from September 1, vocational education will become partially paid. Education remains free if one advances to a higher level. If five years have passed since the completion of studies, one can study again from the state budget.
According to the head of the Ministry of Education, the purpose of the five-year regulation is to ensure that what is learned can be applied in practice. The cost per credit point ranges from 35 to 85 euros. The annual volume of subjects studied is usually 60 credit points, which amounts to an annual tuition fee of 2100 to 5100 euros.
In music and performing arts disciplines, the cost per credit point is higher, as their education emphasizes individual learning. The Ministry of Education took into account state support for schools to set tuition fee limits.
Schools can decide for themselves how expensive the tuition fee for each discipline will be. It is expected that schools will consider the students' capabilities and not set maximum prices. For example, in forestry, the tuition fee is higher than in economics, where educational needs are lower.
There is a five-year transition period for those under 26. Until 2030, young people can still change disciplines for free.
