Oliver Eglit holds a master's degree in political science from Tallinn University. He has an international accreditation at the ACC level in ICF coaching. In addition, he has extensive experience in management in the public sector.
Eglit is a specialist in the fields of state property, real estate, public procurement, and organizational development. Currently, he works at the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, where he heads the state property department.
Previously, Eglit managed the state property department at the Ministry of Climate. From 2013 to 2021, he worked at the Tallinn City Property Department. There, he first served as deputy head of the housing management and asset management department, and later as head of the construction and procurement department.
The competition for the head of the Tallinn City Property Department was announced at the end of April. However, on June 2, the commission declared it unsuccessful. The reason was that none of the candidates had a clear advantage.
Thereafter, the opportunity provided by the Public Service Act was used. Oliver Eglit was found through targeted search. His education, experience, and motivation met the requirements of the position. Eglit will start work on September 8.
