Tallinn Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski says that after the elections, there are two possibilities in Tallinn. Either he continues as mayor or Mihhail Kõlvart (Center Party) returns.
Ossinovski talked about how he can cooperate with the Reform Party. He said: "Politics is work where you have to cooperate. We are not marrying members of the Reform Party." He added that they work together for common goals.
Ossinovski believed that after the elections, there are two possibilities. Either he continues as mayor or Kõlvart returns. He said that earlier Kõlvart wanted to come to power with EKRE. Now, however, the Reform Party also wants to help.
Ossinovski said that Kõlvart's return would not be good for Tallinn. He promised to work so that the current city leaders continue together even after the elections.
The mayor said that he wants to keep the coalition together. He also talked about the city council. The Reform Party wants to participate more in city governance.
Ossinovski also talked about major changes in Tallinn. For example, the merger of hospitals is still ongoing. He also mentioned Estonian-language education. The results of fourth-grade students were poor. By autumn, children need to be helped.
Election surveys show that support for the Center Party has increased. Support for the Reform Party, however, has fallen. Ossinovski said that this was expected.
