Tsahkna said that Estonia does not support actions that help Russia. He called for cooperation to prevent Russia from circumventing sanctions. Tsahkna stated that companies selling goods to the Russian military will be punished.
Tsahkna emphasized China's significant role in international law. He said that China should help protect Ukrainian children who are in Russia. Tsahkna expressed a desire to cooperate with China.
Tsahkna met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. They discussed relations between Estonia and China. Tsahkna said that Estonia wishes to maintain open relations with China. He also spoke about Estonia's position regarding Russia's war.
Tsahkna stated that Estonia supports human rights. He said that human rights are universal for everyone. Tsahkna also visited a Chinese think tank. There, he thanked China for not supporting the Soviet occupation of Estonia.
On Wednesday, Tsahkna will meet with the ambassadors of Ukraine and the USA in China. He will receive information about the human rights situation in China.
