A vocational education event took place at the University of Tartu sports hall.
For the first time, the 'Young Master' festival was organized in Tartu. It brought together current and future vocational students.
Anneli Luik, head of the Education and Youth Authority, said that people with practical skills are highly needed in the labor market. The festival showcases the opportunities offered by vocational education institutions.
Vocational education is popular. Next year, about 200 more students will study there than currently. Young people are more positive and happy when they can create something with their own hands. Of course, theoretical knowledge is also important.
Some visitors got ideas from the festival about what to do after graduating from basic school.
The festival was organized by the Education and Youth Authority together with Tartu Applied College.
