The Jüri roundabout in Rae municipality was the most dangerous place in terms of traffic accidents for the second year in a row. There were 139 accidents there. The total damage was 394,000 euros.
Most of the accidents were rear-end collisions. Typically, intersections have 39% rear-end collisions, but at Jüri roundabout, this figure was 75%. Trucks caused more accidents here than elsewhere in Estonia.
In 2025, there were 3% fewer traffic accidents in Estonia compared to 2024. A total of 32,601 accidents occurred. The damage amounted to 77 million euros.
There were fewer accidents in winter than usual. However, in summer, especially in July and September, there were more accidents than ever before.
Andres Piirsalu, a member of the Traffic Insurance Fund, said that the winter was mild with little precipitation. This means there were fewer accidents caused by slippery conditions.

There were fewer accidents involving pedestrians than before. The number of parking-related accidents remained the same. The most accidents occurred in the Ülemiste shopping center parking lot.
Rear-end collisions involving pedestrians and collisions at intersections caused the most damage. The average damage was 10,000 euros.
Estonian vehicles also caused over 2,000 accidents abroad.
