Alexela plaanib rajada vesinikutanklaid ka Pärnusse ja Tartusse. Need tanklad integreeritakse olemasolevatesse tanklatesse. Hanked on avatud ja neid toetab . Loodetakse, et hanked lõpetatakse sügiseks.
Eesti riik on investeerinud vesinikuarendustesse miljoneid eurosid. See projekt sai riigilt viis miljonit eurot toetust. Tallinna Tehnikaülikooli professor Allan Niidu ütles, et sellised projektid on vajalikud. Need aitavad aru saada, kas vesinikul on Eestis tulevik. Praegu kasutatakse vesinikku väga vähe.
