The departing mayor of Tallinn, Jevgeni Ossinovski (SDE), said that he will focus on the work of the city council in the future. He will not participate in next year's SDE chairman elections.
Kaarel Oja (SDE), who was the deputy mayor for culture and sports, says he wants to be an active city council member. He does not yet know exactly what he will do.
Madle Lippus (SDE), who was the deputy mayor for urban planning, says she wants to participate in the work of the city council. She has not yet thought about her future plans.
Aleksei Jašin (Eesti 200), who was the deputy mayor for education, says he has three plans. He wants to rest and complete his master's studies. He is also thinking about politics and education, but there are no concrete plans yet.
The new mayor and deputy mayors will be elected at the next city council session. Isamaa has nominated Peeter Raudsepa as their candidate for mayor.
The first deputy chairman of the city council is Sven Sester (Isamaa). The second deputy chairman position may go to SDE. The salary of deputy chairmen is €4,098.89 per month.
