EL changes rules for flight delays

New EU rules keep compensation for delayed flights.

EU countries agreed on new rules for flights.
The rules keep money for late flights. If a flight is 3 hours late, people get money.
Most EU countries said yes. Spain and Latvia said no. Austria and Finland did not vote.
The EU Parliament must still agree. The final decision is in July. New rules start in 2027.
Airlines are not happy. They say the rules do not fix real problems.
Now, people get 250 to 600 euros for late flights. It depends on flight length. The new rules keep this.
There are also changes for small bags. Airlines must include small bag price in ticket. People can say no to small bag and pay less.
The rules also explain bad weather. If weather is very bad, airlines do not pay.
People get money directly. They can also use special companies to help.
The deal means people keep their rights. But cheap flight tickets may cost more.
