AS E-Piim Production CEO Anti Orav says that the future of the Paide plant is definitely connected to Estonian milk. Without local milk, the plant cannot survive.
Board member Janis Bertulsons filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday. The company is facing financial difficulties and challenges in meeting obligations. CEO Anti Orav is seeking solutions to stabilize the company.
The Paide plant was opened a few years ago. Its goal was to receive up to 1000 tons of milk per day. The completion of the plant has taken more time and money than planned.
The good news is that by the end of 2025, the plant will be ready. However, banks have been unwilling to provide more funding. This has caused financial difficulties for the company.
The solution could be an agreement between the owners. However, this has been difficult. The Estonian dairy cooperative SCE E-Piim and the Dutch company Interfood have not reached an agreement.
