An expert says that social media influences youth behavior. Tobacco manufacturers offer alternatives, but they are not healthy.
More and more young people have never used drugs. Cannabis use has declined. 25% of young people have never tried alcohol.
Young people are learning better self-regulation. This helps them refuse drugs.
The study also examined the mental health of young people. Many young people have low mental well-being. These young people smoke and use drugs more often.
