Estonian Railways is carrying out works at 100 level crossings.
The crossings will receive new barriers and signs.
The works will be completed by the end of the year.
Andro Mikkor is the head of Estonian Railways. He says: "We are modifying pipe barriers. We are adding new clamps.
We are also adding new reflective stickers."
The works will also help visually impaired people. Special stones will be added.
All crossings will receive information boards. The boards will have a name, number, and emergency number.
Estonian Railways has 150 level crossings. One hundred of them will be renovated this year.
The works are being carried out across Estonia. For example, in Turba, Paldiski, Narva, Tartu, and Valga.
Trains will continue to operate as usual.
