The party Koos says they cannot open a bank account. They wrote to the electoral committee and the ERJK. Banks Luminor, LHV, Swedbank, Citadele, and Coop say no.
Igor Hopp says that without a bank account, they cannot submit an electoral list. Without an account, it is difficult to track how money moves.
The banks say this is due to their rules. They are afraid of money laundering and terrorism. Koos says this is not fair.
Koos will try four more banks. If these banks also refuse, they will ask the Chancellor of Justice for help. They believe this is against the constitution.
