RKAS hopes the police precinct plan will be completed in a couple of years

plaanib kolida oma peamaja ja teised osakonnad Rahumäe teele. Seal ehitatakse mitmes etapis uus politseilinnak. Valitsus pole veel raha ehituseks andnud, kuid plaanid tehakse juba praegu. RKAS loodab, et plaan saab valmis paari aasta jooksul.
Rahumäe 6 ja Tervise 20 krundile ehitatakse tulevikus PPA jaoks olulisi hooneid. RKAS esitas linnaplaneerimise algatuse 2021. aastal, kuid see algas alles 2023. aastal. Detailplaneeringu teeb firma Optimal Projekt. Plaan peaks valmima 2028. aastal.
Erik Vest RKAS-ist ütles, et Tallinnas võib planeerimine võtta kaua aega. Mõned plaanid võtavad 5-10 aastat. RKAS loodab koostööd linnaega, et plaan kiiremini valmis saaks.
Valitsus pole veel raha ehituseks andnud. Praegu on raha ainult planeerimiseks. PPA peamaja asub praegu Pärnu maanteel es.
Uuel politseilinnakul on bürood, lasketiir, garaažid, töökojad ja laod. Ehitus jaguneb viide etappi. Esimeses etapis ehitatakse peamaja, lasketiir ja parkimismaja. Teises etapis ehitatakse keskkriminaalpolitsei büroohoone. Kolmandas etapis tulevad töökojad ja garaažid. Neljandas etapis ehitatakse Lääne-Harju politseijaoskonna hoone. Viimases etapis ehitatakse vajadusel veel hooneid.
Hooned võivad olla kuni 12 korruse kõrged. Alla maa on kaks korrust varjendite jaoks. Vest ütles, et kogu ehitus võib võtta 20 aastat või rohkem. See sõltub rahastamisest ja PPA prioriteetidest.
Politseilinnak on kaitsealune.
Lääne-Harju politseijaoskond lammutatakse. Lähedal on välisluureamet ja haigla. Rahumäe ja Tervise tänava ristmik rekonstrueeritakse.
2024. aastal võitis arhitektuurikonkursi ideekavand "Kompass". Kuni 17. veebruarini saavad inimesed tutvuda plaanidega Kristiine linnaosavalitsuses.
The Police and Border Guard Board (PPA) plans to move its main building and other departments to Rahumäe tee. A new police precinct will be built there in several stages. The government has not yet allocated funds for construction, but plans are already being made. RKAS hopes the plan will be completed within a couple of years.
Plots at Rahumäe 6 and Tervise 20 will host important buildings for PPA in the future. RKAS initiated urban planning in 2021, but it only started in 2023. The detailed plan is being prepared by Optimal Projekt. The plan is expected to be completed by 2028.
Erik Vest from RKAS said that planning in Tallinn can take a long time. Some plans take 5-10 years. RKAS hopes to cooperate with the city to expedite the completion of the plan.
The government has not yet allocated funds for construction. Currently, there is only funding for planning. PPA's main building is currently located in rented premises on Pärnu maantee.
The new police precinct will include offices, a shooting range, garages, workshops, and warehouses. Construction will be divided into five stages. The first stage will involve building the main building, shooting range, and parking garage. The second stage will include the construction of the Central Criminal Police office building. The third stage will add workshops and garages. The fourth stage will see the construction of the West Harju Police Department building. The final stage will involve additional buildings if needed.
The buildings may be up to 12 stories high. There will be two underground floors for shelters. Vest said the entire construction could take 20 years or more, depending on funding and PPA's priorities.
The police precinct is a protected area. It will be surrounded by a 2.5-meter-high fence. There will be no public paths on the territory, but there will be visitor parking and landscaping. The precinct will have an internal street connecting Rahumäe and Retke roads, which will be closed at night and on weekends.
Currently, the plot houses the Forensic Science Institute building, which will remain. The West Harju Police Department will be demolished. Nearby are the Foreign Intelligence Service and a hospital. The intersection of Rahumäe and Tervise streets will be reconstructed.
In 2024, the architectural competition was won by the concept design "Kompass." Until February 17, people can familiarize themselves with the plans at the Kristiine district government office.
